Stanford’s Troy Taylor investigated for hostile behavior toward female staffers

Stanford, California – Stanford football coach Troy Taylor abused a female staff member and attempted to remove an NCAA compliance officer after warning him about violations of the rules. Documents obtained by ESPN From an investigation into Taylor's behavior.

In the second investigation, Taylor concluded that he retaliated against compliance staff who discovered seven small NCAA violations by “seeking removal from assigned duties.”

The report said investigators had never encountered “this obvious level of hostility and neglect” for the University Compliance Office, according to ESPN.

According to documents obtained by ESPN, Taylor signed the warning letter on February 14, 2024. Additional complaints were documented in the second investigation, which ended July 24th, but Taylor continues his work.

“I was happy to adhere to the research, accepted the recommendations that came out of them, used as a learning opportunity to develop leadership and how I interact with others,” Taylor said in a statement released by the school. “We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively and consensually with our colleagues so that we can achieve success in our football program together.”

A statement from a university spokesperson said: “Stanford believes in maintaining the highest standards in the workplace.”
