Kennedy Center’s Ric Grenell rejects Harvey Fierstein claim shows were ‘banned’

In January, Trump announced that he had fired members of the Center's board of trustees and was elected to chair the board by a new, hand-picked board. Fierstein claimed that as a result, some of his shows were no longer welcome.

“He attacks freedom of speech,” Fierstin said. “He attacks the free press. He attacks America's allies. His only loyalty is to himself – my fellow Americans warn you – this is not the way it starts. This is the way freedom ends!
