Police reported that McRober and McQueen, both registered with the school, fell to the ground after saying they “deliberately synchronized physical attacks” against the teacher and “punched the teacher repeatedly in his face and head with fists.”

Daniel Foganholi Sr., a board member of the Florida Department of Education; said in a statement The incident was a “failure of respect, discipline and accountability,” ABC News reported.

“Educators should not be afraid of safety while doing their jobs,” Foganholi said, according to the news network. “Schools must be a place of learning, not a battlefield.”

He highlighted the need for “a stronger disciplinary policy, better security measures, and a culture that respects and protects teachers,” ABC News said.

“If we don't act, we'll fail in the educators, students, and in the future,” Foganholi said. “As ample enough.”
