We Will ‘Hunt These Cowards Down’

Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem has vowed to act on “co-sick people” who have attacked conservative commentators and journalists.

“Under President Trump's leadership, we won't sit unsteadily as new conservative media and their families are targeted by false swatting,” Noem said in an update on X, explaining that DHS has the “ability to track phone numbers and track location information.”

“We'll use it to hunt down these co-sick people,” she vowed. “This is an attack on our law enforcement agencies and our innocent families, and we prosecute it that way.”

DHS' official X account followed up and repeated those warnings.

The warning continues over a week of what appears to be a consistent swatting incident against conservative personalities, commentators and journalists. “Swatting” refers to an anonymous attacker who pretends to be false and seeks emergency services from an individual. In many cases, these individuals claim that a violent crime has been committed or that emergency services will be drawn to the location. Individuals at the locations described by the anonymous caller are caught in surprise when emergency responders arrive.

As Breitbart News has extensively reported, dozens of individuals in the conservative political movement and the media have reported swatting attempts against them in just a week.

The series of swatting incidents appear to have started on the evening of March 11th. Chase Geyser, an early morning reporter on March 12, revealed that six or eight “police officers are using the PA system to call by name and order them to leave my house.”

“I was handcuffed in the middle of the street, and I couldn't tell at the muzzle because of the light glowing in my face,” Geiser recalls. “After that, I was taken to the house where my wife was awakened and informed that they received a call from someone who was threatening to kill my family while pretending to be me.”

The next night, independent journalist Nick Thorto announced that his family had been slammed after his sister received a majestic email.

Others who reported being targeted for swatting include conservative commentator Gunther Eagleman, conservative radio talk show host Joe Pagriallo, conservative commentator Sean Farasch and conservative author Mike Engleman.
