Gov. Tim Waltz (D-MN) argued on MSNBC's “Rachel Madow Show” on Thursday that schools could be separated without the Ministry of Education.
Madow said, “What is your reaction to closing the education sector today?”
Waltz said, “Well, we knew it was coming, but that's still a day I'm afraid of. I certainly feared it as a governor, as a teacher. And the sad part for me is that I know nothing about education. Ed Department makes sure that everyone is educated, regardless of race, religion or ability.”
He said, “It's about the Department of Education's Civil Rights Bureau to make sure Ruby Bridge is not escorted to schools with police, and we're back in areas where we can be isolated.
