Executive Branch Needs to Be Brought ‘Under Control’

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) warned voters about the final cycle, Rep. Celeste Malloy (R-UT), a House institutional Republican, unleashes President Donald Trump by joining leftist Pubram that the US has somehow left the railroad and that “administrator” Trump needs to oversee “under control.”

Malloy's comments reportedly came at a town hall event in Salt Lake City. host along with Rep. Mike Kennedy (R-UT), according to the Associated Press. Lawmakers later claimed in a social media post that they didn't think the US was heading towards authoritarianism.

During the event, audiences “urged Malloy to condemn Trump's drastic federal budget cuts.” Malloy and Kennedy said they “opposed some of the administration's cuts,” but Malloy admitted that the US “will not let us all get out of our situation financially without any pain.”

The raucous audience of liberal Salt Lake City has repeatedly urged Malloy to condemn Trump's sweeping federal budget cuts. Malloy controls federal funds as a member of the House Budget Committee. She and Kennedy said they opposed some of the administration's cuts, including the National Park Service. But Malloy also said strict spending decisions are needed.

In the X post, Maloy It is listed She doesn't think that America is “drifting towards authoritarianism.” WordsABCNews was explaining her comments at City Hall, but admits that in reality, the administration considers it “too strong.”

“Do you think America is drifting towards authoritarianism? No. There's nothing but hope and optimism about the direction our country is heading,” Malloy wrote in her post. “Do you think administrative agencies are too strong? Absolutely. We've grown for decades. We need smaller federal agencies and we have a unique opportunity to do something about it. The president has a tough job trimming the administrative department.”

Deseret News It has been reported In May 2024, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) supported Malloy's main opponent, Colby Jenkins.

At the time, Lee claimed he began talking to Jenkins after hearing “funny” accusations about Jenkins, and according to the outlet they determined that it was not true.” Lee and Jenkins reportedly “didn't say what the accusations were or who made them.”

Lee's warning is especially visionary now, as Malloy shows her true colour when it comes to Trump. Republicans have a thin razor margin in the House of Representatives, but it remains to be seen whether Malloy will vote for the entire Trump agenda.

The Utah Republican lawmaker has been promoted to the office that is currently holding special elections after current Former Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT) resigned from his office, but in some way it could be a critical vote. If she throws it away with the left, as she did in her recent comments at Town Hall, it could put Trump's tax cuts and a wider agenda at risk. The way speaker Mike Johnson will guide the midterm elections for half next year will define the success of Trump's agenda and determine whether Republicans will retain or lose a narrow majority. But if voters listened to Lee's advice in the primary last year, they don't need to worry right now, but alas, Malloy survived against Jenkins.
