The stool smeared with smells on Canadian statues of Wayne Gretzky, smeared feces after hockey gained rage for maintaining an intimate friendship with the country's latest enemy, President Trump.
The statue of the former Edmonton Oilers, standing outside the team's home arena at Roger's location in Edmonton, gave off a prominent foul Friday morning as it wiped out the bronze feces on Gretzky's face.
Poo Slinger remains massive and it is unclear whether his motivation is politically driven, but Gretzky is criticized for his continued support of the US president, creating disgusting vandalism.
The four-time Stanley Cup winner, who first supported Trump during the 2020 campaign, attended Trump's January inauguration in a Republican Red “American Great” hat.
He stood by Trump as other parts of Canada oppose the US amid ongoing tariff tensions.
Trump also expressed his love for Gretzky, saying in a January speech that if the US were to turn its Northern neighbor into the 51st state, he would appoint Canada's so-called “great.”
Gretzky was booed earlier this month when he appeared on TV at a Canadian-US Hockey game. An online petition renaming Wayne Gretzky Drive in Edmonton has received 13,600 signatures.
Gretzky began his prolific NHL career with the Oilers, playing for the Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues and the New York Rangers, and retired after the 1998-99 season.
