Time Magazine reported that one of the 2017 Time100 Listees, an illegal immigrant who went to the United States on Christmas Eve in 1997, was arrested by Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE).

On Monday, Vizguerra was reportedly arrested by ICE for a target employed in the Denver area.

She was known to remain in the church to advocate for shelter from ice enforcement, a policy from former President Biden's administration that allowed illegal immigrants to stay in churches and schools to avoid arrests. The Trump administration has been revoked January 21st, 2025.
