The “Law and Order” actor was sentenced to 25 years behind bars for the “calculated” revenge fuel murder of Queens rivals.
Appearing in the hit legal drama as well as the “Boardwalk Empire,” Isaiah Stokes showed no regrets over killing Tyrone Jones, who authorities said he was shot almost dozens of times in a parked car on February 7, 2021.
Jones's weeping father was caught up in the actor during an emotional victim impact statement in Friday's verdict.
“I remember the day my son was brought into this world – I was a happy father. TJ was fun… my loving uncle and nephew. What I don't want to remember is the day Isaiah Stokes decided to kill my son,” said Tyrone Jones Sr.
“TJ didn't die from a car accident or illness, he died at the hands of a monster,” his father, who was destroyed, continued to shed tears.
Stokes, 45, said he had four months of Vendetta against Jones, 37, after a young man kicked him out of a birthday party during the October 2020 clash.
The actor attached a GPS tracking device to Jones' vehicle and stalked him more than a week before the Broad Daylight, Catch One Camera murder, according to the DA's office.
“You planned and thought about how and what you were going to do to end TJ's life. Isaiah Stokes. His father wept in court, staring at his only son, murderer.
Stokes was convicted of two murders in the case, along with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, but began trying to assert the merits of the case during his sentence Friday, urging Judge Kenneth Holder to blame him.
“Listen to me. You've been convicted, so you need to tell me about whether I have any kind of mercy to you – that's what you need to hear from you. I don't want to hear about any movement – it's all done.”
“You're not a lawyer, and frankly, you don't know what you're talking about,” the judge said at one point. “I know exactly what I'm talking about,” Stokes replied.
Holder got tired of it and aimed for Stokes' acting career.
“I believe that if you leave, staying in prison for as long as possible would bring a marvel to your film career, but here's the problem… you're not out.
“Whatever the movie you watched to plan this murder, you saw the bootleg version clearly because no one could plan the murder as stupidly as you did.
The 2021 murder stripped the victim's “heart” father, he told the Post.
Stokes didn't see his grieving dad “it was a slap” in the face, Jones Sr. later said outside the court.
“Do you know why he doesn't see? Because I look like a son. My son looked like me. There's no difference. You're looking at me, you're looking at my son,” he told the Post.
Jones Sr. later celebrated the verdict and praised him for suing the ADA and the NYPD.
“Now, I'm happy because he will never see the street again. He's gone, like my son is gone. My son is on the ground and he's gone to prison somewhere,” he said.
But “I'm not going to get my son back, so it's never going to be justice,” his father said, adding that Jones should be remembered as “the King of R&B” and “the loved one” “who came with everyone.”
