Sen. Bernie Sanders admitted that when Democrats were in control, they were doing “virtually nothing for the workers” and threatening to stand up and leave the interview.

Between ABC A segment with host Johnathan Karl aired on Sunday's Sanders (I-Vt.) was asked if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) thought he should run for the Senate.
“Like I said, there are just a lot of people in Congress. Oh, Jonathan, thank you,” Sanders said before quickly getting up from his seat.
Carl added that he had one more question and that Sanders accused him of asking “nonsense.”
“Well, I ask you – you know, you want nonsense, you want nonsense. No, I don't want to talk about the inside of the beltway. I've won 32,000 people,” Sanders said.
Sanders eventually retreated and stated he didn't want to discuss Ocasio-Cortez's potential Senate run, subtly avoiding a growing call to eliminate minority leader Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.).
Sanders also took the shot with Democrats, saying they “did virtually nothing for the workers” when they were controlling the Senate.
“So we're about 60 days, the Trump era, the second Trump era. How do you rate the Democrats' response?” Carl asked.
“Well, I'll bring us back before that, saying that when Democrats were in control of the Senate before Trump was elected, they're saddened me that they did virtually nothing for the workers. I have to say that. I'm not going to lie to you.
“Do you think Democrats have been effective in bringing together American people and stopping Trump's move towards Olita and authoritarianism since then? No, I don't,” he continued.
Carl asked if Sanders believes President Donald Trump has done something positive and said, “Yes, I think it's cracking down on fentanyl, that we're making sure our borders get stronger.
“The idea that Trump has, I don't know what his latest figures are. He wants to expel 20 million people in this undocumented country. Well, you do that, you destroy the entire country, because I got the news for you. Comprehensive immigration reform.”
