Port St. Lucy – You're trying to forget how long the baseball season will be. I'll start doing it this week when I overreact to the opener. And follow it with a bold statement about the first week or first month.

We've always done this. We're going to do it louder now, just do it more. Because it's well paid for an ecosystem where the outrageous things no longer get scoffed at first.

On the left side of the Mets' infield, the first day of 2024 is Jose Iglesias and Mark Vientos, and the Syracuse Mets, who are suffering from amnesia. OMG was 3 out of 26 characters. The expression on his face was his expression. Tylor Megill and David Peterson were two of the least successful pitchers who were not allowed to make at least 50 starts in Mets history. Peterson was about to boot from hip surgery and start it.

“You learn over time in baseball. It's a very long season,” David Stearns said. “We always and when you go through it, you regularly remember that there is a season within the season and that a couple, three, four, five weeks of stretch really tells the whole story about your team.”
