The Florida sheriff has traced a group of teens accused of taking golf carts for Joylide, sharing a dramatic video of a military-style aviation business using infrared technology.
High-tech helicopter footage showed a squad car slowly chasing the cart after appearing to have been filmed late last Wednesday from the clubhouse in the Triple Creek community in Riverview.
The Hillsboro County Sheriff's Office continued filming from the air, which was said to be between the ages of 14 and 16, flew away, ran away, and ran away.
“After several pursuits, all five were taken into custody,” the sheriff's office said proudly.
Aerial infrared footage showed the child that he thought the driver was stopping and trying to hide beneath the tree, while another person hid in circles, hiding near the fence, and the last three people gathered in a wooded area.
Sheriff Chad Cronister argued that pursuing and sharing footage was not overdone, even if there were no reports of injuries or damage.
“Theft is a violation of the safety of our community, regardless of the item.” The sheriff said.
“We continue to protect the property of our residents and take responsibility for their actions.”
