House Republicans Seek To Repeal More Biden Green Energy Regulations

The House will try to overturn several Biden administration climate regulations that will limit consumer choices later this week.

Speaker Mike Johnson plans to bring two joint resolutions to the home floor to eliminate green energy standards for appliances such as refrigerators and freezers. The regulations were issued by the Department of Energy (DOE) in the final week of President Joe Biden's term, allowing Congressional Republicans to use the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to repeal Biden regulations. Congress can issue regulations from previous administrations recently through simple majority votes under the CRA.

Stephanie Beath of Oklahoma and Craig Goldman of Texas are the lead sponsors of the disapproved joint resolution – HJ Res. twenty four and HJ Res. 75 – We aim for DOE green energy standards for walk ink and freezers, as well as commercial refrigerators and freezers.

“The Biden administration has done everything it can to regulate all aspects of our homes and businesses,” Vice told Fox News Digital on Jan. 16.

“President Biden's DOE consistently abused its authority to promote a fundamental energy agenda for American consumers, sought to implement significantly more energy-efficient conservation standards for some household items that cannot be economically justified or that such as refrigerators and washing machines.” “These overreach rules deprive consumers of choice, burden American families, and force Americans to use expensive appliances that don't work as well.”

The House also passed a joint resolution that disapproved on February 26th to abolish the Biden EPA's tax on oil and gas operator methane emissions. President Donald Trump signature The resolution will overturn the methane tax on March 17th.
