Pat McAfee has begun to return comments about the NFL Draft and is “considering” to host a draft show in Green Bay after protesting that he first attended the event due to the league's “lack of respect.”
“The more I think about it, the more you know, maybe we'll go shake [the NFL’s] hand,” McAfee said on the “Pat McAfee Show” alongside Ian Rapoport on Monday..
McAfee had been calling WWE's “Monday Nightrow” in Scotland, but appeared on his honorary show while Rapoport hosted the day.
“It's going to be an electric factory over there. [in Green Bay]. The place is fantastic. McAfee praised it. “What the NFL did in the draft is great, so we'll wave their hands and make it happen, as you know.”
McAfee's comments come after coming alive with the NFL at the Combine for what he called him and his ESPN show “lack of respect.”
The former Colts punter was upset at the location of the show's set at the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
“Someone at that mid-level in power wanted to bending the fact that they have power,” McAfee said. “It obviously caused some issues.”
“That being said, I don't want to play their game,” McAfee added that he could be in the draft.
McAfee has hosted his “Draft Spectacular” for the past five years, and most recently held a show in 2024 Detroit set is placed at the Detroit Ice Rink Nice Background draft stage view.
Comparing that to his uncertainty and the NFL placement of the show at Combine, this made him plan to do a draft show this season offsite.
Despite all the drama, McAfee may end up on Green Bay's set for the draft, but he hasn't confirmed that.
“This is what I'm potentially thinking about,” he said.
