Trump claims Jeff Bezos complained to him about ‘crazy people’ at Washington Post

In a new interview, President Trump said he was optimistic about his work relationship with Jeff Bezos and the future of the Washington Post, claiming that Bezos had lightly paraded newspaper staff to him.

“They actually did some bad articles about him (Bezos),” Trump said. Interview with Outkick's Clay Travis. “He said, 'This is crazy. I've lost my property running this thing, they (post newsroom employees, post newsroom employees), you know, they're out of control.” These people are crazy.

“(Bezos) is a good guy,” Trump added. “I didn't really know him in my first semester, which means that's the difference between now and the first time.”

Bezos, who founded Amazon and owned the Washington Post, announced last month that the outlet would be revising its opinion page.

Trump said he thought the changes that came to the post were “great” and spent time talking to Bezos.

He also reportedly said Bezos was “definitely trying to be more fair,” and that Bezos is also the subject of unfavorable media coverage.

Trump said Bezos, who attended his inauguration, showed how much the change has changed between his first term and his second term.

Fox News Digital reached out to Bezos and the Washington Post for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
