Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring Serena Williams sparks 125 FCC complaints

Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show caused more than 100 complaints to the Federal Communications Commission.

The 37-year-old rapper took to the stage when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

During his 15-minute performance, the 22-time Grammy Award winners performed “Not Like Us.”

Six weeks after the chart topping gig, furious viewers filed 125 FCC complaints, TMZ Report.

At least 10 complaints were about Lamar's direct aim for Drizzy, the outlet added.

“Kendrick Lamar made a scandalous claim that was unfounded and false and false,” one person said. “he [said] Drake was a TV pedophile in front of millions of PPLs.

Another added that the “Money Tree” rapper used the platform to push “personal vendettas” against Drake.

Another complained about some of the dance moves displayed during the performance, noting that he saw some “obvious anti-American” themes throughout.

Others complained that only black performers and dancers had decorated the stage.

R&B singer SZA took part in Lamar's performances and sang hits from the 2018 Grammy Awards, Golden Globes and Oscar-nominated “Black Panther” soundtrack, “All Stars” and “Luther.”

However, there was one unexpected guest on stage at the halftime show. Drake is the legendary tennis player Serena Williams.

Williams and Drake dated each other in 2011, and the rapper It was revealed In the footage released in the summer, he wrote the 2016 song “Too Good” as a tennis superstar.

When Lamar finally played a part of “Not Like Us,” it accused him of being “pedophile,” a Canadian rival, and he changed the lyrics by removing the words.

Instead of spitting out “certified lover boy? Certified pedophile,” the Pulitzer award-winning rapper was silent in the part that usually raps “pedophile.”

The lyrics also refer to Drake's 2021 album, “Certified Lover Boy.”

And although Lamar's “not our favourite” performance omitted the rapper's dullest accusations against Drake, he still delivered the message as he provided two brutal bars of songs.

He then excluded the words “Why are you… why are you…” and the words “b-ch?” and “Are you not tired?

The line “minor” undoubtedly struck a chord with the loudly chanted crowd.

Lamar also had a cameo of actor Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel L. Jackson dressed “Uncle Sam” and was successful throughout his performance, hitting record producer DJ Mustard.

The performance proved to be polarized, but the drama was certainly made for the record of historical audiences.
