UConn Communications director Bobby Mullen apologized to the Charlotte Sports Reporter who allegedly threatened to “smash” his life after posting a sleazy video of Husky coach Dan Harley after a madness defeat in March in the second round to Florida on Sunday.
“A little (and hopefully a final) update: Bobby Mullen and I spoke a while back. During that time, he apologised for his actions. I accepted it…and life continues.” I wrote it on X on Wednesday.
He did not further elaborate on their conversation.
Mullen and UConn have yet to confirm their apology as of Wednesday.
Ellis' post on Tuesday comes two days after Husky captured and posted a video of him walking into the tunnel after being defeated by top-seeded Florida at Raleigh's PNC Arena.

Queen City News reported since it won 1 million views on X after the video went viral Maren told Ellis If he doesn't defeat Harley's video, he would “smash his life.”
In a statement dealing with the case, Mullen said the male reporter was in a restricted area when the video was filmed.
“The lasting image of Director Harley leaving the courtroom was supposed to be that he would cross the courtroom arms with his seniors.
“Instead, the reporter was in the area where he was supposed to have recorded private comments to another member of the coaching staff on his cell phone.”
Mullen did not address the suspicious threat.
