China Poses Biggest Military, Cyber Threat to U.S.

China will bring the biggest military and cyber threats to the United States and wider global security, but will make “steady” progress towards having the ability to invade Taiwan, the US intelligence report warned on Tuesday.

AFP Report According to the assessment, Beijing's “forced pressure” on Taiwan and “wide range of cyber operations against US targets” remain in the growth of threats to US national security.

“China presents the most comprehensive and robust military threat to US national security,” the report said.

The report provides an overview of the collective insights of the top US intelligence agencies on security threats raised by foreign and criminal organizations, according to the AFP report.

Beijing warned that it would expand “forced and destructive malignant effects activities” to undermine the United States internally and globally.

And the Chinese government will try to counter what is considered to be “a US-led campaign to undermine and overthrow Beijing's global ties,” the report said.

The Beijing Army's military is preparing to challenge US operations in the Pacific Ocean, and concluded that “it is stable but uneven progress in its ability to use to grab Taiwan.”

Russia, along with Iran, North Korea and China, is trying to challenge the United States through a deliberate campaign to gain advantage, seeking “a wealth of lessons on the combat of Western weapons and intelligence in large-scale wars” at Ukraine Annefording in Moscow, the report says.
