LeBron James takes dig at ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on ‘Pat McAfee Show’

Stephen a Smith is not the only ESPN personality in LeBron James' crosshairs.

The longtime NBA superstar appeared on Wednesday's episode of “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN, the same network that James has been making a useful fondness for Smith, which he has publicly rebutted in recent weeks.

And James was targeting Smith during the interview, but he also targeted Smith's colleague Brian Windhorst, who has history.

“I've seen Brian Windhorst a while back on one of these shows,” James said before being interrupted by Pat McAfee, who just cried out “Windy” (the nickname for Windhorst).

Windhorst attended St. Vincent St. Mary's high school stayed in Ohio as James became a national star in the decade before entering the 2003 NBA Draft.

James continued.

Windhorst hosts the “The Hoop Collective” podcast.

“he [Windhorst] He went to his show and said, “Don't be fooled by LeBron, I'm wearing No. 23 for Michael Jordan.” Okay, that's true,” James admitted.

“'He signed Nike for Michael Jordan,” James continued, chuckling. “F-K wasn't. I signed with Nike. I got a signing bonus hell and they gave me a seven-year, $90 million contract.

He said, “And ultimately, my whole thing is, what do I want to wear on the coat?

James and the Lakers are hoping to play the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night and play a three-game losing streak. Los Angeles sits fifth in the Western Conference, a half-game behind the Grizzlies.

James returned from a gro caliber injury on Monday after being sidelined for two weeks.
