The heavy burden Yankees youth movement is being asked to shoulder

The Yankees begin fresh on Thursday, 148 days after the World Series crashed to them in a brutal way at E. 161st St. and River Ave.

Some new faces are towing, one big thing gone, already hurting many, a significant proportion of them are hairy, and a few young people who are asked to hold them more accountable await the Yankees who try to rewrite the script with a better ending for fresh seasons.

“I'm excited for the group,” Aaron Judge said Tuesday in Miami before the Yankees headed home to play against the brewers on Thursday afternoon.

“As I've said all camps, injuries are tough, especially hit big names. But it's a good opportunity for a lot of young people to show us what they've got and make a name for themselves. I'm not just the new guys, but I'm also excited to be here for two or three years and they'll establish themselves.”
