HHS obliterates more than $300 million in DEI-related health grants to California alone

First on FOX: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of the Department of Robert F. Kennedy has completed more than $330 million in National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants (NIH) related to diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) and gender studies in California alone.

“HHS has concluded more than $330 million in wasted research funding for California organizations that are not following NIH and HHS priorities,” HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon said in a statement Thursday to Fox News Digital.

“Dismissed research grants are wasteful in studying things that don't involve anything that is unrelated to American health, including DEIs and gender ideology. As we start to make America healthy again, it's important to prioritize research that directly affects American health.”

Fox News Digital has reviewed a list of termination grants. All of these are related to DEI initiatives or gender-related issues, primarily published to universities within the California State School System, such as the University of California, San Francisco, and UCLA, and published by private universities and research institutes in Golden State.
