Nevada Dem Denies Trashing Letters from Women Supporting Transgender Athlete Ban

Nevada lawmakers have denied claims that they destroyed letters written by women who support a state bill that prohibits transgender athletes from playing in women's sports.

State lawmakers are considering several bills that would ban athletes identifying women playing on Nevada girls and women's teams, and women who support the bill are concerned about lawmakers, including members of the legislature. Elaine MarzoraClark County Democrat.

However, 13-year-old Ava Chavez claims that Marzola staff have destroyed a letter to lawmakers who have expressed support for the ban on transgender athletes. The girl was spurred into her position after being forced to play against a boy who was allowed to join the girl's team.

“When the ball is on the other side of the net, they have the opportunity to swing and we have the opportunity to block, which is dangerous for us, because if the blocker can't block a boy's hit, I can be dangerously hurt. I said In a letter to lawmakers, according to Fox News. “Support SB112 and protect girls like me who love sports. Thank you for reading my letter!”

However, the girl told Fox News that when she delivered the letter to Marzola's office, she received a very rude reception.

Chavez added that when she delivered the letter, Marzola staff threw it into the trash can.

“When I came in, she took a picture of my paper between her fingers, and she was like sliding it into the trash can,” she also said she had put a copy of the letter on the representative's desk.

“And when I left, I thought I had heard the rustling paper again and I said, 'Oh, she dumped our paper again,'” she said.

Kendall Lewis, 17, confirmed Chavez's claims, saying her letter was also destroyed by Marzola staff.

“When she took them out of us, she didn't look a bit like a ball, she made them crouch a bit, but just dumped them and just ignored them,” Lewis said.

The third woman, University of Nevada volleyball player Sia Liilii, said she witnessed the destruction of the letter.

“After hearing the rustling paper, I turned around and Kendall said, 'She just dumped it,'” Leely told Fox News.

However, Marzola denied that her staff had destroyed the constituent letters.

“My staff and I are blatant lies committed by unsafe opinion columnists who were not even in legislative buildings. My staff and I have always treated everyone with the utmost respect and dignity.

However, despite her protests, Marzola did not propose any evidence that there was still a letter in her office.

“It's not the fact that she wants to come after the girl characters who were there to pass the letter peacefully to the letter, but the reason they love the sport so much, and why it wants to be a single space, it's kind of questionable, especially since we can make decisions about how we play her sport.”

The two bills currently under discussion in the Nevada Legislature are AB240 and SB112.
