On Friday, a DC federal judge extended a restraining order against alien enemy law. This was enacted by the Trump administration to illegally deport Venezuelan citizens, a gang member of the US Tren de Aragua (TDA).

US District Judge James Boasberg ruled that the extension will run until April 12th.

Also, in another ruling on Friday, a federal judge in Boston blocked the deportation of immigrants. There is no existing relationship where there is no chance of going to court to challenge the move.

Last week, Boasberg issued a temporary detention, saying it would take more time to stop the president from using the law to control the Venezuelan people and consider the merits of the case.

In the bench's verdict, he ordered all planes carrying Venezuelan citizens or other deportees under the alien enemy law.

The administration later filed an emergency request to intervene in the US Court of Appeals.
