The U.S. Department of Labor has cancelled its $577 million “US Last” contract, including $10 million for “gender equity in the Mexican workplace,” the government's Department of Efficiency (DOGE) announced Wednesday.
“A great job today with @usdol @secretarylcd @sonderling47 cancels $577 million with “America's last” grant for $237 million in savings,” Doge announced, listing examples of wasted grants that were cancelled. One of the grants was worth $10 million for Doge, described as “gender equity in the Mexican workplace.”
Another $12.2 million was “Worker Empowerment in South America,” and $6.25 million was meant to “improve respect for workers' rights in the agricultural supply chain” in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.
The cancelled grants cover other countries, including $3 million for Lesotho's “safe and comprehensive work environment,” $3 million for Bangladesh's “enhanced social security access and worker protection for internal migrant workers,” $4.3 million for “supporting foreign migrant workers” in Malaysia, and $5 million for “women's participation in workplaces.”
This continues with the Doge update Savings Leaderboardcurrently touting $130 billion in estimated savings. The Doge website explains it “a combination of asset sales, cancellation and renegotiation of contracts/leases, removal of fraud and inappropriate payments, cancellation of grants, interest savings, program changes, regulations savings and labor reductions.”
Doge is currently indicating the end of the grant of 9,289.

Doge continues to uncover federal waste, fraud and abuse.
