Police shot the wife of Southern California's Weezer bassist Scott Schliner on Tuesday, accusing her of attempted murder during a strange series of events in Los Angeles. Law enforcement said the dangerous showdown broke out from a completely unrelated police pursuit.
Around 3:25pm, California Highway Patrol officials were allegedly pursuing three hit-and-run suspects. While police chase, the suspect was involved in a car accident and headed to a residential area.
“The officer ordered Schliner to drop the handgun multiple times, but she refused.”
The CHP requested police backup to arrest suspects in the Northeast Los Angeles area of Eagle Rock.
One of the suspects of Hit and Run reportedly ran to the backyard of the house.
The 51-year-old author and wife of Weezer bassist Gillian Lauren Schliner reportedly left her home near a police search, reportedly armed with a handgun.
The Los Angeles police statement The Schliner “has not been involved in hit and run,” but he still “ordered Schliner to drop the handgun multiple times, but she refused. Schliner pointed the handgun at the police officer, causing a shooting involving an officer.”

No officers or other community members were injured during the incident.
Schliner was arrested and attacked for attempted murder.
Police said the 9mm handgun was recovered from the scene.

Investigators from the LAPD's military investigation unit, the person responsible for investigating incidents, including police use of force, are investigating the shooting.
One of the hit and run suspects involved in the first car chase was arrested in a nearby backyard, while the other two fled the crime scene.
Schliner is the author of two bestselling memoirs of 2010.Some Girls: My Life in Harem” “Everything you've ever wanted” in 2015. Schliner is also based on an interview with serial killer Samuel Little, the book “Behold, Stand Up Against America's Most Prolific Serial Killers.”

Scott Schliner declined to provide comments about his wife when KTLA asked him for comment.
but, The New York Post said Schliner was seen walking four dogs outside the couple's house on Thursday and told his wife, “She's fine, thank you for asking.” Schliner added, “See you at Coachella!” Post said as he returned home.
