The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Florida is looking to acquire more than 1,000 extra officers to help the federal government carry out massive deportations as the southern border crisis is over.
Florida Highway Safety and Automobiles announced Wednesday that Dave Carner's executive director was first declared in the department sworn as an officer of the Ice Task Force under the 287(g) program. The program allows state and local law enforcement agencies to be empowered and empowered to enforce federal immigration laws in the course of their normal duties. Florida is the first in the country to require law enforcement to be part of the program.
The FLHSMV further revealed that nearly 1,500 Florida Highway Patrol troopers will soon complete their 287(g) certification and implement new authorities across the state.
“We guarantee that our city will light our path to citizenship today and celebrate our new citizens tomorrow.”
“Under the Governor [Ron] Desantis leader Florida leads the national approach in both state and local enforcement of federal immigration laws,” FLHSMV said.
The 287(g) program is different from Operation Stonegarden, where 287(g) allows accreditation departments to act independently, doing things simultaneously for the US Border Patrol and federal agencies such as local law enforcement agencies. Although the certification will take time, sheriff's offices across the state are expected to complete training soon, adding more authorized personnel to crack down on illegal immigrants.
In Jacksonville, the city council took that a step further. Now it's a national crime for illegal foreigners to be in Florida, but the Jacksonville City Council has passed measures to make being in the city a local crime if someone is illegally in the country.
Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan (D) did not sign the law on the anti-aggressive immigration bill, but she did not refuse either. This means that the bill will become urban law.
“Why don't you refuse that? Because it's a distraction that pleases those who want to fight the progress of our city,” Deagan said. I explained it. “We ensure that our cities light our path to citizenship today, celebrate new citizens tomorrow, and that we will always lead with love.”
