Canadians Demand Amazon Remove ‘Canada, 51st State’ Merchandise

More than 60,000 people have signed a petition requesting that Amazon cease sales of products to Canada, the 51st state in the United States.

change.org petition It has received around 69,310 signatures and is asking Amazon to stop selling its pro-Canada 51st province. The petition explained that the goods were “not merely offensive and immoral” and reinforced “a direct threat to our democracy.” The petition arises as President Donald Trump has previously joked about making Canada a 51st state.

“Looking forthcoming items depicting this concept on a platform as big as Amazon, it empowers us more than it deserves President Trump's intimidating tactics and serves as a constant reminder of the bullying we are being bullied,” says the petition started by Sue Williams Dunn. “Every day we come across products that hint at unwilling integration into the United States. We recall the looming dangers facing our independent nation.”

The petition continued to explain that sales of pro-Canada province 51 products on Amazon are spewing “national digging.”

“While some may argue that these products are harmless and even comedy are harmless, they ignore and disregard the sustained economic terrorism Canada has endured,” the petition adds. “This is no joke for us. It's a threat to our autonomy and identity as Canadians.”

Breitbart News previously reported in December 2024 during a meeting with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that Trump “jokingly didn't like the idea that Trudeau's 25% tariffs imposed on goods from Canada “can avoid tariffs by becoming 51st.”

In a post about the True Society starting December 10th, Trump said he was happy to have dinner with “Governor Justin Trudeau, President of Canada.”

Following the announcement of Trudeau's resignation in January, Trump once again fused Canada with the US, saying “there's no tariffs,” and “the taxes will go down considerably.”

“Many people in Canada love being the 51st state,” Trump wrote of the true society of the time. “The US can no longer suffer from the massive trade deficits and subsidies that Canada needs to float. Justin Trudeau knew this and resigned.”

Trump added: “If Canada merges with the US, there will be no tariffs, taxes will drop considerably, making them completely safe from the threat of Russian and Chinese ships that are constantly surrounding them.

In February, after the Canadian national team “beat the US at the Four Nations Hockey Championship,” Trudeau scored a shot with Trump, stating “You can't take our country” or their match.
