Canadian news reporter Michelle Mackey horrified by boy’s sexually aggressive comment to her

A Canadian television reporter called out the 9-year-old and his guardians screaming sexually offensive comments on her while she recorded the segment.

CityNews Toronto journalist Michelle Mackey filmed the segment outside the city's Rogers Center, explaining scenes around her as a boy and a man walked past.

“f-k is her rights in p-y,” the little boy cried out as Mackie worked. The man he was on exploded with laughter at the ominous comments.

Mackie's face shifted from his profession to one of his anger and disgust over the act.

The boy had revived a meme that was a popular meme 10 years ago.

It is believed to come from a series of videos published in 2014 by filmmaker John Cain. The internet was run on it and was usually used to harass female journalists.

“This was one of the most alarming things I've seen as a news reporter. What appeared to be an 8- or 9-year-old boy, screaming at me with his father. They laughed and left.”

“Respect for the children, I am blurring their faces. Whether this is a man or a cry at a woman, it perpetuates and normalizes misogyny. I thought this horrible tendency was over.”

In an interview with NBC today, Mackey said he was “disturbed” by the boy's actions.

“I looked back at them… I just wanted to see the father and the child and say, 'You say it to me again and see me as a human?”,” she told the publication.

“But they didn't come back. They just laughed and kept walking with my thumbs up.”

She said the boy was so young and that the adults should have intervened with him and that what he did was not ok. She said the phrase was “violated.”

“Maybe you're coming to this from a place of humor. I think this is probably not funny and harmful, but I hope you can think of the words that come out of your mouth…and really think about the meaning of those words.

Video Mackey's uploads attracted a lot of attention. Many people were divided, some claiming it was just a joke and others called for the child to act.

“FHRITP in 2025 is crazy,” said the person.

Another social media user commented: “Why doesn't anyone remember the original?”

“Yeah, being violent with women is fine. They still teach children. It's so sad that this happened to you,” the person said.

One added: “This is literally adolescent. The man in the comment hasn't gotten it yet. ”

Another branded it as a “classic meme” and suggested that reporters need to “attain the era.”
