WWE boss calls Trump ‘genius’ for his ability to generate heat

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque spoke about President Donald Trump’s ability to generate heat in a podcast interview released Monday.

Levesque, known in the world of professional wrestling, is known as Triple H. “Flagrant” podcast Plate some of the marquee moments in WWE history.

Levesque was asked about Trump hitting the political scene in 2015. When he first ran for president, and whether WWE knew Trump would ultimately win that election due to the reaction he received.

“Trump’s ability… in his way, like he hates him and him, he’s charismatic in so many ways, and I think he likes to get under people’s skin,” Levesque said. “I think he likes to produce (heat) the way he does it. It’s amazing, it’s a genius and it worked well in our business.

“Do you think he got it from our business? I think he was born. I think it was his life. You’re thinking about it. You have a lot of billionaires in the world. Why was he the most famous? You do all these things and captivate people. That’s why he’s here.”

Trump and Levesque have a stronger connection than people realize.

The former reality TV star appeared at WrestleMania 23 in a billionaire match fight where Bobby Lashley shaves the head of former WWE president Vince McMahon.

Linda McMahon then served in the Trump administration during his first term and was appointed Secretary of Education in his second term. She is Levesque’s mother-in-law, married to Stephanie McMahon.
