Rapper Tay-K convicted of murder for shooting photographer while fleeing another murder

Rapper Tay-K, best known for his 2017 hit track “The Race,” was convicted of a second-degree murder.

The 24-year-old Taymor McIntyre was sentenced to bar late in 2019, 55 years later in prison in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker.

Six years later, the California native is added to the 5-99 prison after being convicted of fatally shooting a photographer while fleeing police for his first murder in 2016.

Tay-K was placed under house arrest at the time and ordered to wear an ankle monitor.

Meanwhile, Latarian Merritt, a man accused of shooting Walker, was given a life sentence for the murder.

Ju judges found Tay-K guilty in April 2017 for murdering Mark Anthony Sardivar, but they said he did not commit the crime of capital murder. News 4 San Antonio Report.

After removing the ankle monitor, the rapper escaped house arrest just before a court hearing related to his involvement in a 2016 home invasion that took place at the age of 16.

According to an arrest warrant related to the second murder, the rapper acted as an accessory as part of a group that picked up 23-year-old Texas photographer San Antonio and is a group where photoshoots are taking place nearby.

At the time of the second murder, the rapper released his hit song, “The Race.” Just hours after he released the video for the single on June 30, 2017, police arrested him in New Jersey.

The song’s music video has earned over 251 million views on YouTube.

The rapper was awarded a 30-year prison sentence and a $5,000 fine.

He was also sentenced to another 13 years in prison and a $3,000 fine for the worsening robbery of the remaining two counts related to the 2016 unsuccessful home invasion.

Tay-K must serve at least half of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
