Sharks legend Logan Couture’s career over due to injury

The career of shark veteran center Logan Couture ended due to injuries, According to ESPN.

Couture, the first round pick in 2007, is expected to announce his decision on Tuesday, according to the report.

The 36-year-old reportedly will not retire, but will remain in a long-term injured reserve.

This season marks the sixth straight campaign in which San Jose was not eligible for the playoffs.

Couture tallied 34 goals and 37 assists with 71 points in 82 career playoff games.

He has the remaining $8 million per season for two years on an eight-year, $64 million contract.
