After a Washington state police officer lied to police at a vehicle stop, he admitted to being drunk and flashing badges at a bar. Get According to KCPQ-TV.
The memo said Officer Todd Loggenkamp acted inappropriately on October 18, 2023 in a series of incidents in the alcohol-fueled series.
‘Raggenkamp added by texting the prank image. [name redacted] Did you drive together last night? ”
Loggenkamp’s wife reportedly left her cell phone inside the bar, but the bartender told them she couldn’t resume business without the alarm code. It flashed his badge and caused a loggenkamp, who demanded he resumed.
“This badge says I can enter the building” … What he says is verbatim,” said Andrew Goodman, a friend of the bartender who was at the bar that night.
Loggenkamp then threatens to fight a man at the bar and boasts of knowing “fatal fighting techniques” before his wife kicks Goodman in the gro caliber and slaps him. Cameras outside the bar captured the incident.
Officers had a controversial debate with King County representatives. He tells him he can smell alcohol and can be heard in the body cam video. Roggenkamp questioned the legality of the suspension and told them to handcuff his wife.
Loggenkamp cried in a break when the deputy showed that he was only trying to determine whether his wife had attacked anyone.
He also called one lieutenant a “f**king amateur” and the other called fat fat. He then drove to King County Jail and identified him as a sergeant in an attempt to release his wife from custody.
In the footage, Loggenkamp mixes his words together and adds, “I’m drunk.”
The investigation that night brought new interest in another incident in late 2023, in which Loggenkamp was accused of attaching a penis adult toy to another policeman’s marked police vehicle.
Roggenkamp texted the prank image, adding, “What’s going on with the strange tactical antenna?” [name redacted] Did you drive together last night? ”
He admitted to investigators that it was a bad idea after saying it was funny.
Rather than terminating him after 18 years of service, the Mercer Island police station reached a last chance contract with the police. The division quietly demoted Loggenkamp in November 2024.
Roggenkamp did not respond to KCPQ requests for text, phone or email comments.
He is being investigated by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Board, but a spokesperson for the committee said cases of adult toy cases had been closed due to lack of jurisdiction.
