Suspected arsonist Cody Balmer targeted Pa. Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home over what pol ‘wants to do to Palestinian people’

The suspect in the arson attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s residence said he targeted Jewish politicians about what he wanted to do with Palestinians, according to documents.

According to the search warrant, he called 911 following Sunday’s attack, followed by Sunday’s attack, identified himself by name and delivered a horrifying message addressed to the governor over the phone. Retrieved by Pennlive.

Balmer, 38, said Shapiro, who hosted Passover dinner hours before the flames, needed to know that he would not “participate in planning what he wanted to do with the Palestinians.”
