Protesters tased by cops at chaotic Marjorie Taylor Greene town hall

Two protesters were chased and several more arrested at the Wildtown Hall held by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, who was crashed by demonstrators on Tuesday.

One destroyer at the Atworth Community Center, about 30 miles from Atlanta, about 30 miles, appeared to have stabbed an officer as he was forced out of the event, with two officers deploying Tasers against him.

“This is a peaceful town hall, a woman and a gentleman,” Greene (R-Ga.) told the crowd seconds after the man shook a stun gun. Videos posted on X Show. “This doesn’t have to happen.”

At least six protesters were led to law enforcement in the one-hour forum, according to the Acworth Police Department.

Authorities say three people were arrested, two of which demanded Taser’s deployment.

Some confusion came within the first few minutes of Green’s remarks.

Near the end of City Hall, several more protesters left, screaming at the councillors.

One man recited “Free Kilmer” – a reference to a member of the MS-13 gang, who was allegedly mistakenly deported to El Salvador last month, after being led by police.

Acworth Police Department pre-selected attendees to ensure Greene’s pre-selected attendees would reside in her district, but one of the arrested individuals provided the authorities with a driver’s license with an address outside of the 14th Congressional District.

“While trying to remove subjects from the event, officers were threatened, physically resisted and hurt in the process,” law enforcement said. “One of the people arrested provided them with ID cards that placed them outside the Greene district.”

The Acworth Police Department said it worked in conjunction with several state law enforcement agencies to gather “intelligence” before events that showed “potential destructive behavior.”

“With this information in mind, the plan was done in advance,” Acworth police said. “Sadly, as soon as lawmakers began their presentation, several members of the audience were devastating, creating an imminent public safety threat to all those present.”

“Their intention was clear to put our beloved police department members in a favorable situation in front of numerous media outlets.”

Authorities have identified two individuals who were charged with simple battery and obstructing law enforcement officials, and charged with Andrew Russell Nellms, 40, of Atlanta, and Johnny Keith Williams, 45, of Dallas.

Kiyana Davis, 28, of Dallas, has been arrested for violating the city’s ordinance on vulgar language.

“This should have to happen,” Green told the crowd after police plagued the protesters. AP

“I’m glad they were dumped. That’s exactly what I wanted to see.” Green told reporters After the event. “This is not a political gathering or a protest.”

“Tonight I held the City Hall. Do you know who was in line? Protesters.”

House Republican leaders have urged GOP members to avoid hosting in-person city halls and instead host virtual events where possible, in the midst of democratic backlash against the Trump administration, particularly Elon Musk’s government-efficiency move to cut costs.

In recent weeks, GOP city halls have permeated union workers and other democratic allies, according to GOP lawmakers.
