Come Ward’s fuss led the Titans to number one overall. All Miami quarterbacks were yelling out loud this week as the 2025 NFL Draft approached.
The outlook for the top quarterbacks of this year looked at Tennessee’s roster when asked during the “Fortnite” live stream of thinking about the best running back in the league.
“I’ll say… Tony Pollard, [Tyjae] Spears,” Ward said in the clip, which is now floating around X.
Pollard will enter his second season with the Titans after agreeing to a three-year contract with free agency last March. The former cowboy, who returned in 2024, was in a hurry for 1,079 yards and five touchdowns.
Spears, meanwhile, ran for 312 yards and four scores. He was the third round pick for the Titans in 2023.
Ward added more fuel to the fire when he named Titans Wideouts Calvin Ridley and Treylon Burks two of the top NFL receivers.
Ridley had 64 catches and 44 touchdowns for 1,017 yards last season at Tennessee, while Burks had four receptions for 34 yards.
These players are certainly talented, but few people put them on top of Saquon Berkley and Justin Jefferson in the NFL world.
The Titan has long been predicted to take the 22-year-old ward, who won the top pick in next week’s NFL Draft.
The club scheduled private training with 6-foot-2 prospects after attending Pro Day in March, leaving no secret of their ward worship.
The top pick trade options were reported to be “on the table” in February, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Last month, he said, “Now we’re going to need an even stronger package to get the top selection of drafts.”
Another clue about the Titans estimation plan fell in early April when he cancelled a private workout with fellow quarterback prospect Chedur Sanders.
Titan is desperately looking for a steady hand at quarterback position after years of unstable play from Malik Willis’ Ryan Tannehill and more recently, after Tennessee’s second round pick Will Levis in 2023.
Tennessee came out of the 3-14 season when he saw Levis commit a costly blunt instrument before being benched for longtime Steelers backup Mason Rudolph.
Ward, who played his last college season in Miami, is the leader of the QB pack of this year’s class.
He threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions last season, completing 67.2% of passes.
Ward will be in Green Bay next Thursday when the 2025 NFL Draft begins.
