Josh Hart has faith Knicks fans will ‘find a way’ to invade Detroit

Josh Hart has faith in the witty Knicks fans who will raise tickets in Detroit next week despite restrictions that could prevent New Yorkers from breaking into Little Caesar Arena in the first round NBA playoff series.

“rear [what happened in] Philadelphia last year, I am not responsible,” Hart said Wednesday. In the first round of 2024, he mentioned the blue and orange fan seas at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. “New York, they have the best fans in the world. It’s cool to see the difference. I’m in LA and the Lakers have one of the largest fan bases in the world. There are Lakers fans everywhere. There are so many fans everywhere in the country, so it’s hard to see how they travel.

“But seeing Knicks fans, you’re going to watch, hear everything about everyone’s trips and tickets and flights and getting things like that, it’s really cool. It’s really cool to see it. And it’s really cool to know Knicks fans. [Pistons] The owner will purchase thousands of tickets. ”

The Pistons have imposed geographical restrictions on who can purchase tickets for the home playoff game, but a team spokesman said it was directed by ticket brokers and not a direct attempt to block Knicks fans from raiding the Downtown Arena when the series returns to Motown next Thursday night.

Still, potential ticket buyers for postseason games in Detroit (including Game 4 on next Sunday and Potential Game 6 on May 1st, but they will need to use credit cards with mailing addresses in “specific regions of Michigan and Ohio, Indiana and Ontario Canada.”

The restrictions clearly do not affect secondary market purchases.

“We implemented geofencing for two main reasons. First, a massive number of ticket brokers (particularly affordable options) who are trying to buy lots of tickets during pre-sale posted on Sunday. Second, like many teams and organizations in the entertainment industry, we continue to face the threat of future fraud. Geofencing is one of the tools used to protect against it, ensuring a better experience for our fans.

“This approach isn’t to keep out specific groups, it’s about protecting fans and maintaining integrity in the ticket process.”

Knicks fans often take over road arenas in Southeast Achi cities such as Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami and Orlando, but not usually Detroit.

The Pistons, who moved from their longtime home to downtown from the Auburn Hills palace in 2017, improved with 30 wins from the NBA-Worst 14-68 mark last season, reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
