Aaron Rodgers didn’t have too many great things about the Jets’ new head coach, Aaron Glenn, but during his future Hall of Fame induction at the “Pat McCuffy Show” on Thursday, Giants head coach Brian Daball was far more free.
The Giants were one of the teams that were interested in Rogers’ services, and Rogers confirmed that QB spoke to Daboll, whom he described as “a great conversation.”
“I’m not going to elaborate on every team I’ve spoken about,” Rodgers told McAfee after asking the hosts who spoke to during free agency.
“It was a few teams. …I talk to Brian Dabor and say I had a great conversation with him. I really enjoyed him so much. I think he’s so much fun to talk to and has a beautiful football mind. [Allen]he has Josh in Buffalo and Josh is one of my close friends in the league. I just enjoyed the conversation. He is truly a bright soccer spirit. ”
The Giants ultimately chose to sign Russell Wilson and Jamis Winston’s free agent tandem, waiting for Rodgers to decide where his football future is heading.
Rodgers, who remains in the Big Apple, would have been another twist in the already strange story he had after breaking out of Green Bay in the spring of 2023.
The two years he was 41 years old with the Jets were damaged by injuries and off-field drama. The result was two lost seasons and a sparkling review on handling the final meeting on February 9th.
Rodgers blows up the Jets during his appearance on the same “Pat McCuffy Show,” calling the meeting “strange,” hinting that Glenn is concerned that Rodgers will undermine his new coach at the team meeting.

“It was certainly a very strange meeting,” Rogers said. “I didn’t plead with you, ‘Take me to the team.’ I don’t want to be a part of it.
Rogers doesn’t tell McAfee where or even what he did in 2025 that people in his inner circle are dealing with “the hard thing.”
“I’m open to anything and I’m not attached to anything, so retirement may still be possible,” he said.
