The Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings meet in a row in round one of the Stanley Cup playoffs in the fourth season.
The Oilers have eliminated King for three consecutive seasons, but this Best of Seven has a different feeling compared to the previous year.
Edmonton appears in the series with more questions than answers after an uneven campaign that exposed some serious cracks.

Euler vs. King’s Bet Preview
Los Angeles was as consistent as any team in the league in the 82-game marathon, but there are skeptics who don’t think King has enough ceilings to compete with Conor McDavid and Leon Dry Eitle.
The odds suggest that the king has a great opportunity to run for their money to the Oilers.
Edmonton is a favorite of -140 to film the Best Seven Series.
The Oilers began the season as a Stanley Cup favorite, but they slowly came out of the gate and questions began to arise about the team’s composition.
Edmonton tried to make some moves to reinforce that depth in the summer, but in doing so they were forced to see the key mid-row players Warren Foguere, Dylan Holloway, Ryan McLeod and Philip Bloberg departures.
The alternatives in that cohort had a hard time impacting, which put more pressure on McDavid and Draysithle.
Edmonton’s goaltending problem seemed like an endless saga, raising an ugly head.
Stuart Skinner recorded a .892 save percentage and -2.8 goals that were more saved than expected in 50 games, but Calvin Pickard played for .902 save percentage and -7.8 GSAX on 35 outings.
Meanwhile, King scored a great goaltender from Darcy Quenper all season.
The former Stanley Cup champion owns .920 save percentage and +21 GSAX in 49 games against the Kings.
Part of Kuemper’s success was his defensive play in front of him. Los Angeles led the league with a 5-5 goal expected this season, with the Jets only conceding fewer goals at even strength than Los Angeles.

Oilers vs Kingspic
Certainly, there is a possibility that McDavid and Draysightle will run the show and the Oilers will pass this series, but that feels like the only path to Edmonton’s success.
On the other hand, the king is the weak and there are more ways to win. They have a better goaltender, elite defense and a deep lineup that contributes from everywhere.
If you just hide your name and look at the numbers, you’ll say that the king should be a favorite of the series.
