Night 1 of Wrestlemania 41 is about resetting the WWE landscape heading for the rest of 2025, and is the biggest change of the weekend.
A year ago, five new champions were crowned in Philadelphia, and on Saturday, Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium (7pm, Peacock) will once again feel it. Will Jay Uso finally become a world champion? Will Tiffany Stratton be forced to succumb to Charlotte Flair? Paul Heyman walks with CM Punk, who will he go out with?
Post’s professional wrestling columnist Joseph Stassy is doing his best to predict what will be seen in WrestleMania Night 1.
El Grande Americano around Rey Mysterio
Mysterio doesn’t need victory, but Chad Gable as El Grande Americano is only three weeks away. WWE has invested a lot of quality screen time in new personas. He smacks Mysterio, takes off his mask like Dragon Lee and begins a feud with the newly signed Ray Phoenix. Americano came out to eliminate Phoenix from Andre the Giant Battle Royale in Smackdown. However, I was able to see WWE take a simple route, put out a disconnect and sell “surprise” at WrestleMania’s grand stage.
