Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews told Jim Acosta on the “Jim Acosta Show” podcast on Friday that President Donald Trump is doing the same thing Hitler “during the Holocaust” by deporting MS-13 gang member Kilmer Abrego Garcia.
During the discussion, Matthews told Acosta he had “nasty things” for him after telling Acosta that he had to ask “some news questions” before “reminding” the rest of the show.
“What did Hitler do in the Holocaust? He took people from Germany to other countries.” Matthews saidAcosta replied, “Yes.”

The former MSNBC host continued: “If there were no German laws. There was no pretending to be German laws. They took them to Poland and Hungary and killed them.”
Acosta responded by asking Matthews if there was a similarity between his explanation of the Nazis and his explanation of the Trump administration’s deportation of Abrego Garcia.
“So, if you look at what’s going on right now in this Salvador glug, do you think this Secott glug, he’s basically pulling pages out of that playbook?” Acosta asked.

“Well, let them go out,” Matthews replied, “Well, let them go out of the country,” before detailing that he asked Trump and El Salvador President Naive Buquere during his meeting on Monday.

Later in debate, Acosta set an example from him, accusing the Trump administration of “giving cruelty” to Abrego Garcia.
“There’s a deep, intrusive element here, because it seems like it’s all about giving cruelty. Set an example from this person, “We’re going to be cruel to this guy, so you’re going to not come here. We’ll be cruel to you too,” Acosta said. “Is that what you’re looking at with this?”
Matthews agreed with Acosta, claiming that the Trump administration also uses “cruelty” as a negotiation tactic with the country’s allies.
“Big time, we’ll do it to Canada,” Matthews insisted. “They’re all here to me. They have to come to me, quote and kiss my a-” So why is he using that phrase?
