Student Accused of Firebombing Missouri Tesla Dealership

A University of Massachusetts Boston student has been accused of putting out a Tesla dealer in Kansas City, Missouri with Molotov cocktails.

The suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Owen McIntoia of Parkville, Missouri. New York Post It has been reported on friday.

Students are currently facing federal claims, including one count of illegal possession of unregistered destructive devices and one count of malicious damages caused by fires of property used in interstate commerce.

In a press release, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Service Office detail Incident:

A Kansas City, Missouri (KCMOPD) officer, near Kansas City (KC) Tesla Center, was observed smoke from a gray cyber truck parked in the KC Tesla Center parking lot, according to an affidavit filed in support of federal criminal charges. Officers also observed a suspected instigator that had not been broken near a burning cyber truck. KCMOPD has recovered an unbroken grilled Cen device, also known as the Molotov cocktail. The fire spread from CyberTruck to the second CyberTruck in the lot. The Kansas City Fire Department responded to the scene to put out the fire.

The Cybertrucks sold at $105,485 and $107,485. Additionally, two charging stations have been damaged by the fire, each being valued at around $550.
