Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) has denounced the mainstream media for public support from the Democratic Party.
in Friday’s MSNBC interview In the final words, Clyburn argued that the media distorts the political narrative. And Dem claimed that he was losing the ground not because of the very left leaning of their message, but because the press wasn’t telling the story properly.
“I think the message from the Democrats is a good message,” Clyburn said.
“The problem we have is we have to rely on the media to deliver that.”
Host Ali Versi responded, “There is valid criticism about the fact that there is no cohesive message from the Democrats.”
“There was someone who said that [2024] The protests didn’t have any energy after Donald Trump’s election in 2016,” he said.
But a hopeless Dem refused to give it a rating – instead accusing the mainstream media of chasing Trump’s “cave” Crick.
“If there’s the Washington Post, for example, there are other media entities who fall into this aspiring dictator, pushing stories that turn to newspapers and television, and not giving fair hearings or reporting.”
Democrats said they plan to hold a series of city halls outside his district to share his party’s message directly with voters. “It would be very consistent,” he said.
“I’m a little worried, but sometimes I get it when people hear it.”
The veteran lawmaker praises Uber’s left-leaning MSNBC and Velshi reporting, calling it one of the few platforms that provide material beyond the spin.
“That’s why I like to come to your show on weekends,” he said.
Clyburn ended with a shot at the outlet, in his view, spreading unchecked lies.
“That’s what kills us as a Democrat,” he said.
“I don’t have a stomach to lie.”
