It’s not the first time a Georgia lawmaker has shot Van Hollen from Maryland. Van Hollen of Maryland has accumulated much time on camera to advocate for the return of members of the MS-13 gang who have been deported to El Salvador prison.
Collins meets Kilmer Abrego Garcia, who has repeatedly blown up Van Hollen to travel to El Salvador and has been deported.
“If you’re going to defend illegal gang members more vigorously than American citizens, don’t come back,” Collins told the senators when he first announced the trip.
