National Championships and fiance all in one day.
Michigan’s Paul Judas led the Wolverines men’s gymnastics team to the national title on Saturday, winning 13.966 in the championship, and 13.966 in the vault before proposing to his girlfriend in front of the Crisler Center’s ec-hosted crowd.
With the microphone in hand, Judas looked over at his girlfriend, Michigan gymnast Reina Gugginho, and began to publicize his love for her.
“You will make me a better man, a better man,” Judas said before falling to one knee and asking for the hand of the married Gugginino.
Gugginho’s eyes grew with tears and she said yes as the fans at hand were roaring with excitement for now.
Gugginho celebrated the moment with a social media post containing photos of Judas’ proposal.
“You and I forever.” She wrote on Instagram. “Thank God has brought me. One ring for NCAAS and one ring for me. I’m sure I’ve got a better deal.”
Judas also posted about the engagement on Instagram Story, showing off the ring she proposed to her while she was driving, and shared a video of Gugginho, where the 2015 Drake hit “The Big Ring” was performed on the radio.
Judas was part of the 2024 US Men’s Olympic Team, which won a bronze medal in Paris, and was a 2021 Pan American Silver medalist.
Guggino won the national championship with the Women’s Gymnastics Team in 2021 and is a former team captain.
President of the University of Michigan Santano congratulated the couple With X’s post
“Olympic medalist @Pauljuda2 won both the Big Ten and National Championships with @umichgym, and Reina Gugino – with her engagement to the 2021 National Champion and former women’s team captain, I wish them a life of happiness and fulfillment. He wrote.
