Bill Maher doubles down on positive Trump meeting

HBO host Bill Maher fought back against liberal critics on Sunday, who continued to attack him last month as he spoke about a positive dinner with President Donald Trump.

“I told you the truth. That’s all I did. I went there and I told the truth about what happened and they would like to have me lied.”Club Random podcast.

“They don’t feel this is the real person,” Maher told Trump’s perception conservative guest Charlie Kirk on the left. “It’s very strange to say that Donald Trump, who I said 1 jillion, is a little tiny b —-.”

“But this may get over that and see that even if we meet in person we don’t hate each other that much — and we don’t — and I’m not going to pretend it’s doing something bad.

Bill Maher declares “hero” to stand up against Trump at the White House meeting

The liberal comedian made a review earlier this month, looking back at his meeting with Trump at the White House in a monologue on the HBO show “Real Time.”

Maher described Trump as “graceful and measured,” suggesting that the president is a different person from what appears on camera.

“I didn’t feel like I had to walk on the eggshells around him,” Maher told the audience. “And honestly, I voted for Clinton and Obama, but I never feel comfortable talking to them in a way that allows me to talk to Donald Trump.

His comments have drawn the ire of several liberal media figures, including Democratic strategist James Kerrville, former MSNBC host Keith Orberman and comedian Larry David.

“The best rustic “Bill Maher met Trump and praised his hospitality.”

“By the way, don’t overestimate Trump to prostitute yourself.” Olbermann wrote in X. “I’ve known Bill since 1978. He was a shameless opportunist without the real principles of the time, and he does.

On his Sunday show, Maher vowed that he was not shaken by his principles and opposition to the president’s agenda.

“There’s no illusion that dinner with Donald Trump will change the nation. But in contrast, are you not involved in any of the people you hate?” he asked.

“I didn’t give him an inch of what I believe in. “But I told him the truth about how he’s different in his private life.”
