‘I might choke you in public’

Shannon Sharp threatened to suffocate his rape accuser in public in a new audio clip released by Jane Doe’s lawyer Tony Buzby. On TMZ on wednesday.

During the clip, Sharp says he’s going to Los Angeles. The accuser says he doesn’t know why Sharp wants to go outside.

When the accuser says he doesn’t want to suffocate, Sharp responds, “I might suffocate you in public.”

After the pause, Sharp adds, “a big black man suffocates a small white woman.”

“It doesn’t look good, Shannon,” replies the accuser. Sharp then accused the woman of doing something to him, but it is unclear what it is.

Sharp denied allegations laid out in a $50 million civil lawsuit accusing Sharp of raping her in late 2024 and early 2025, and his lawyer, Lanny J. Davis, has released a series of texts claiming from accusers depicting consensual relationships, including “roles” and “fantasy.”

Sharp’s team insisted to TMZ that such conversations are a normal part of the relationship and not a real threat.

A text of allegations from the accuser in October 2023 said, “I want you to put your dog’s collar around my neck and suffocate me while you keep me.”

Davis said Tuesday that Sharp and the accuser were close to a “at least $10 million” settlement before she retreated.
