Future of Biden-era US aid to Ukraine unclear as Trump threatens to walk away from peace process

WASHINGTON – Biden-era aid to Ukraine has been a few weeks since it was exhausted, and the unpredictable forecast of peace negotiations this week — and the prospect of the US moving away from conflict faces Kiev’s uncertain future.

Authorities estimate that the US spent all parliamentally approved funds to support Ukraine with military assistance by June. However, there is also a possibility that Trump may decide to suspend these shipments indefinitely.

Questions get heavy in the air. This is because even sources directly known to the US story of France’s Ukraine on Wednesday could not tell whether and how aid would be affected if Trump left the ongoing debate.

Administration officials have previously said aid is not part of a peace agreement with Russia, and that the president can decide on it himself.

Last month, the US temporarily suspended the delivery of aid and sharing military information to guide Ukrainian President Voldy Mirzelensky to the negotiation table. The move went well, and Kiev was keen to Trump pursue a ceasefire.

About a week later, the US resumed shipping aid that had previously been allocated by Congress during the Biden administration to stop Russia from taking more Ukrainian land.

It is unclear if the aid will continue in a month or whether Kiev and Moscow will agree to a peace agreement this week. This is not visible after the Kremlin on Tuesday called his approach “in vain” and Trump pushed the quick end of the war.

Even Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “It has begun to question whether Ukraine can receive military aid from its allies if a temporary, complete ceasefire occurs.” Tuesday’s report War Research Institute by Washington-based research institute.

The Institute suggested that Putin might try to steal the shipment of military aid in negotiations — if they continue — and “requesting a US halt and perhaps a full halt to Ukraine for the supply of European arms.”

The institute also warned that stopping Western aid could rob Moscow of even more Ukrainian territory.

“The future future agreement to freeze the front that completely controls the forgetfulness of Russia’s Luhansk, Donetsk, Zapolizia and Herson will not rule out future Russian attacks to achieve Russia’s wider territorial demands, particularly if the agreement receives Western military assistance to the Moretrium of Ukraine.”

Trump has used a series of powerful and forced tactics against Ukraine to take him to the negotiation table, but he is poised to abandon Moscow’s efforts to end the Russian war without defeating the hammer.

Instead, the regime has brought attractive attacks in its approach to Russia, offering key concessions such as Ukraine’s perception of Crimea in Crimea as Russian territory and sudden sanctions relief and economic cooperation if the Kremlin agrees to end the war.

Its approach appeared not to work Wednesday as Moscow continued to resist talks with the US over the peace deal.

Meanwhile, Ukraine opposed Crimea’s proposal, and on Tuesday Zelensky told reporters that “Kiev “does not “legally recognize the “occupying Crimea.”

“There’s nothing to talk about here. This is against our constitution,” he said.
