Ultimate Pool Bans Men From Female Billiards After UK Supreme Court Move

Nice! Common sense is beginning to win over the pond!

More than a little A few weeks agotwo men took part in the ultimate pool championship match for women. Lucy Smith and Harriet Haynesthe event finalists are men who “identify” women and “earn” the same amount of prize money as the 14 female competitors who “beat” them.

But thank good Lord, we don’t need to worry about that nonsense again. Because the Ultimate Pool moved on Wednesday to update their policies regarding trans athletes.

“From April 23, 2025, trans women are not eligible to participate in the Women’s Series and are not eligible to be selected for international events in the Women’s category.”

Ultimate Pool says it used the “expert report” to determine whether a sport is a “gender-affected sport.” (Related: Prowoman’s supporters who allegedly funded adolescent blocker research blast Nike)

“The clear conclusion of the biological and cue sports experts who co-authored the report was that eight ball pools are gender-influenced sports, and female cue sports players have unique drawbacks compared to male players, and transgender women retain the benefits of men.”

The organization cited a move the UK Supreme Court recently made to give definitions to “women.”

“In this ruling, the Supreme Court ruled that the gender recognition certificate does not change a person’s legal gender for the purposes of the Equality Act of 2010,” the updated final pool guidelines stated.

“Barones Kishwar Faulkner, Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), confirmed that the ruling brings clarity and that trans women are unable to participate in women’s sports and that the EHRC pursues an organization that does not renew its policies.

Absolutely beautiful news! Let’s continue doing that!
