“I think there’s a real problem with anti-Semitism at Harvard University. We take it very seriously and there’s no doubt about the seriousness of the problem. There’s actually no relationship between Harvard and research funding at other universities.
Gerber also said, “What they are showing is we want to directly review the people we hire on our faculty. That will affect what views we can express on campus. They also want to communicate who we need to be fired.
Gerber also said the school is “working on issues raised by the federal government, addressing criticism and ensuring that we are a place where speeches can thrive, where learning can thrive, where no one feels left out on our campus and can fulfill our broader mission to the country.”
