Ex-Foreign Minister Rocks Colombia with Claim Pro-Cocaine President Is a Drug Addict

Colombian former Foreign Minister Alvaro Leiba claimed on Wednesday that left-wing president President Gustavo Petro suffered from drug addiction in an explosive letter that was highly critical of Peter and key members of his inner circle.

Leiba, who served as Peter’s Foreign Minister from August 2022 to May 2024, has released a four-page Missive copy on his personal Twitter account. In a letter engraved on Wednesday afternoon, April 22nd, “received” from the Colombian presidency, Leiba expressed his concern to Peter, which stemmed from “I had, there are still circumstances and facts.”

The former Foreign Minister claimed that during his official visit to Paris, France, it was written that he had “confirmed” Peter’s drug addiction issues.

“The still fresh memories in my mind of the episode that happened when I was the first witness make me feel uneasy and bewildered,” Leiba said in the letter. “One of them, when you disappeared for two days in Paris during your official visit, as if the French intelligence was incompetent enough that you didn’t know where you were.”

“It’s an embarrassing moment for me as a person and as your foreign minister. And even more so when I learned where you were,” he continued. “It hurts to slow it down today, but for my little stubborn knowledge of episodes of your similar behavior. I was able to confirm that you have a drug addiction problem.”

Leiba said, “But what I could do, certainly I was inferior. I should have approached you, helped you, and helped you in a timely manner. I regret not reaching out to you.”

“The truth is, you’ve never recovered. That’s right. Unfortunately, your recovery hasn’t happened,” he emphasized.

A hard-line leftist, Peter has repeatedly called for cocaine legalization at public forums, including the UN General Assembly. More recently, at a nationwide cabinet meeting in February, Peter described cocaine as “not worse than whiskey.”

Leiba did not specify which of Peter’s official trips to France “confirmed” Peter’s alleged drug addiction. Peter, Colombia’s first left-wing president and former member of the Marxist M19 terrorist group, has visited France four times since taking office in August 2022. I visited Paris on three of my four official trips to France.

Peter was the first president to visit Paris from November 9th to 12th, 2022. Meeting With President Emmanuel Macron of France at the time. in January 2023he visited Toulouse for a day trip and met with local governments. After that, Peter visited Paris. June 2023 And he extended his trip for additional days, citing an unspecified “last-minute” meeting. in June 2024Peter visited Paris again and accompanied the Colombian delegation at the 2024 Olympics.

“Your loss disappear, late arrival, helpless, noncomplete, meaningless travel, inconsistent phrases, some suspicious companies, and other surveillance continues to be registered,” Leiba writes. “It is well known that we have been in a very frequent period of loneliness, anxiety, depression and other symptoms that are difficult to overcome.

“All this is known to those close to you who love you and respect you. “They know and know, but their confusion over feeling helpless overwhelmed them.”

The former Foreign Minister has also issued accusations against current Foreign Minister Laura Saravia and current Home Minister Armando Benedetti. scandal – Includes 2023Nanny Gate” Illegal eavesdropping and abuse of power scandals.

Leiba claimed that the pair “took” Peter, “begging him to relate himself to those who abused you, those who have exploited your very complicated circumstances and continue to cause you terrible harm.

The former foreign minister also claimed that Sarabia “meeted the personal needs” of the President of Colombia.

“I envisioned in a mind that has not prepared the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the desire to show off to become the leader of the continent and the hope of the world.

“When I went looking for you, Mrs. Saravia… I made you wait hours with the excuse that you would eventually meet me. The same thing happened many times.

The letter did not elaborate on what “personal needs” and “satisfaction” Sarabia is.

Leiva explained that appointing Benedetti as Venezuela’s ambassador to Venezuela had fallen to him as the top diplomat. According to Leyva, Petro asked Benedetti to speak to him insisting that he “defense” he did not want to accept the designation, and wanted to work in a “significant” position in his position as Colombia.” Leyva insisted in a letter that he understood his conversation with Benedetti as “drug addiction.”

“He told me as if I knew his personal problems. [psychologist] Dr. Miguel Bettin was on the other side. I commented on that. I understood from everything he said he was a drug addiction. Bettin is a great expert with a huge reputation,” Leyva said. He’s still the same, President. ”

President Gustavo Peter responded to the explosive charges in a social media post claiming that his absence for unknown reasons was due to commitment to his grandchild.

“The only way the press can publish a letter is to humiliate me. It’s not just the writer’s illness, but the media as well,” Peter argued. “Isn’t Paris not as interesting as parks, museums and bookstores than writers is enough to spend two days? Almost everything in Paris is even more interesting.”

“Does Paris have no daughters or granddaughters that are much more interesting than writers?” he asked.

Peter’s daughter Andrea Peter justified Peter’s loss of disappearance in Paris in her statement, appearing to be claiming that he “cut off” “family time, privacy and calmness.”

“In France, my father found something unusual in Colombia. Family time, privacy, calm. His favorite entertainment was spending time with my daughter and being a distracted grandfather,” read Andrea Peter’s message. “Have you sinned for separating him a bit? I admitted it. We were just looking for an unforgivable peace there.”

President Peter followed his daughter’s message in another statement.

“Being with family has become a sin. I rarely have the opportunity to see them because some of my children and mothers live abroad and suffer from persecution,” Peter said. “I didn’t think this would unleash the terrible doubts of those who waved my hands.”

Peter did not elaborate on the “persecution” that he suffers as Colombia’s most powerful figure.
